Mrs. Sealey
Principal
Mrs. Sealey began her career with Polk County Schools in 1999, after receiving her Bachelor's degree at the University of South Florida, as a classroom teacher at Wendell Watson Elementary. In 2004, she worked as the Literacy Coach at Wendell Watson, where she coached and mentored teachers in standards-based instruction and utilizing data to drive instructional decisions for improved student learning. After receiving her Masters degree at the University of South Florida, she began her administrative career at Blake Academy, a K-8 Choice school in Lakeland, in the fall of 2009. Mrs. Sealey is passionate about building loving and caring relationships! She believes building relationships, creating warm and caring environments and engaging everyone in focusing on a common purpose are the foundations for educational success. Her employment history includes:
1999-2004 – Teacher, Wendell Watson Elementary
2004-2009 – Literacy Coach, Wendell Watson Elementary
2009-2017 – Assistant Principal, Blake Academy

Mrs. Wiedenman
Assistant Principal
Mrs. Wiedenman began her career with Polk County Public Schools in 2005 as a classroom teacher at Blake Academy. Because she is a lifelong learner, she worked toward additional degrees in Collaborative Teaching and Learning as well as Educational Leadership. In 2015, Mrs. Wiedenman transferred to R. Bruce Wagner Elementary to serve as the dean of students, working to support a positive school culture for teachers and students. Mrs. Wiedenman believes that respectful relationships and a supportive school environment are foundations for academic success.
