Meet our new Principal Mrs. Sealey

I am so excited to join the North Lakeland Elementary Staff and look forward to meeting all of the students, parents and staff in the coming weeks!  I have heard such wonderful things about North Lakeland Elementary and while I have only met a fraction of you, I can confirm you are a kind, caring and accepting group of people!  I appreciate your kind and welcoming words!

I am settling in at NLE and look forward to the time we can all be together as a team to do what is best for children!  Originally, from Massachusetts, my husband, children and I moved to Lakeland 28 years ago.  I began my career in education in 1999 at Wendell Watson Elementary as a third grade teacher and then later becoming a reading coach.  In 2009, I was selected as the Assistant Principal at Blake Academy, a K-8 choice school in Lakeland.  Education, through building loving and caring relationships, is my passion and life’s work!  I believe building relationships, creating warm and caring environments and engaging everyone in focusing on a common purpose are the foundations for educational success.  I know the new school year will be filled with new possibilities for growth and I look forward to working with you on this new adventure – One Team, One Dream!

I would like to invite you and your family to a “Picnic with the Principal” community meet and greet event for staff, students, parents and community members on Tuesday, July 25th from 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. at North Lakeland Elementary.  Students can play games and enjoy hotdogs, chips and drinks!  I hope to see you there for some fun!

I look forward to a great new year ahead of us!  Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions, concerns or ideas you would like to discuss.  Have a great rest of the summer!

Kind Regards,

Kimberly Sealey
